Letting Kids Be the Tradition-Makers
Friday December 6, 2019 | Ronne RockWhen we allow children to have a creative voice in how we celebrate the holidays, we let them exercise the gifts and talents given to them by our precious Abba God. And we let them actively participate in the very heritage of faith and love they will then pass on to their children. Read more

It’s Time to Be the Welcome Mat
Wednesday January 3, 2018 | Ronne RockAt first glance, the little welcome mat looks much like something you’d find at World Market or Pier One. Strips of fabric sewn together make a durable gathering place for shoes that have journeyed near or far. But in the corner, a canvas tag is a reminder that this is much more than a rug. It is […] Read more
What is Our Real Purpose? Three Reminders from the Vicar in a School Cafeteria
Friday December 1, 2017 | Ronne Rock“You are never more like God than when you invest in other people.” Reggie Joiner The Vicar of the small church in a Texas suburb adjusts the colorful stole that’s draped over his blue jeans, boots, and button-down shirt. It’s a decidedly different look than the traditional vestments he wore when he pastored an Episcopalian […] Read more
What a Small Clapboard Church Can Teach Us About Success
Friday September 15, 2017 | Ronne RockIt was a typical July morning in Oklahoma, with the sun and clouds playing a game of keep away as thunderstorms threatened the horizon. The small clapboard church sat just off the highway that took most of the town’s residents to their jobs in the sprawling city nearby. Not much had changed since the church […] Read more
