About Dr. Darren Kizer
Darren Kizer is a volunteerism, family ministry, and leadership expert. He earned a doctorate in these areas from Nova Southeastern University, and has done comprehensive research surrounding volunteer satisfaction, organizational leadership, and change management. He is the co-author of The Volunteer Project: Stop Recruiting. Start Retaining. As the Director of Partnerships & Academic Initiatives at Orange, Darren’s primary focus is on forming new partnerships and helping the leaders of unique ministry strategies win. Prior to his current role, Darren spent 10 years as the Executive Family Ministries Pastor of a growing multi-site church in Pennsylvania.
In his downtime, Darren enjoys building stuff and participating in endurance sports. He and his wife, Becky, have two grown children, Brynn and Tucker. The Kizer's are enjoying their empty-nest years on Georgia’s Lake Lanier, where their home is always open to a gaggle of superb friends and mediocre pets.
