And, you may be wondering, “Okay, but what does that actually mean? How is this Orange Conference different from previous years?” 

There’s a lot of “new” at OC this year, and we believe gathering together in the same room together for the first time in two years will be life-giving in a new way.  

Part of what makes this year an Orange Conference like you have never seen before is breakouts like you have never seen them before. 

 

Here are some ways breakouts are new this year . . . 

 

Specialized Breakout Experiences

 

This year breakouts will happen in three separate venues, each one hosting a suite of specialized sessions for your area of ministry. You can spend the day at the Leadership and Family Miinistry Breakout Experience, Kids Ministry Breakout Experience, or Student Ministry Experience. Imagine an entire day of learning about new ideas and practical solutions from innovative thought leaders—surrounded by other ministry leaders who do what you do. 

Not only will you spend the day with other kids ministry leaders, student ministry leaders, or next-gen leaders, you will be spending the day with fewer leaders. The hallways will be less crowded, the rooms will have more space for social distancing, and you will be exposed to fewer people. We hope this helps everyone feel more comfortable and safe. 

 

New to Ministry Workshop Experience

 

The first two years of any next-gen ministry are tricky to navigate without a map—especially when you started during a global pandemic. There are specific decisions to be made and landmines to avoid. So, we created a workshop experience for anyone new to ministry—four connected sessions, each one building on the last, that will set you up for success. These four sessions will help you define your ministry goals, recruit an all-star team, and give you clarity on how to measure success.

 

More human breakouts. 

 

At OC22, our breakouts will not only give you more practical tips and innovative ideas, but will also help you better understand the humans in your community. We wanted to raise the bar on important issues like mental health, special needs, fostering and adopting, and other issues that matter to the humans in our communities. 

We hope that by offering more specialized experiences you can walk away from conference with even more practical steps and innovative ideas to help you influence the faith of the next generation. 

This year, you’ll pick a Breakout Experience and stay at that location all day.
