So, about six years ago, I was introduced to a strategy. I thought this strategy would drastically impact my quality of work. And while it has definitely done that, it has become even more—it has since become a lifestyle. What started as carrots and traffic cones has evolved into tremendous success for generations to come, not only in our church but in our community. We call it ORANGE.
You can find so much information about Orange by clicking the link above, but to get the DNA I believe you must attend The Orange Conference. You know how it is when someone tries to verbally share his or her experience with you? It’s just not quite the same as experiencing it yourself. OC happens every year, and I’m there. And when I return, my passion is contagious to those around me. Fortunately, most people are like me, and they take it, embrace it, and share it. But when I’m blessed to bring others along, they always remark of how they “really get it now.” That statement is invaluable, and isn’t something I could’ve just handed to them.
So here we are, six years later, and I bleed orange—along with so many others. Nothing brings me more pleasure than to see Orange spreading throughout the community. I want the same for you, so please join us!
And if knowing all of that is not enough, here are four reasons I am attending OC15 with my team:
- Fun: Orange knows how to throw a party. We always attend expecting a blast, but our expectations are blown away every time.
- Wisdom: Every year, we walk away with so much wisdom, and just can’t keep it to ourselves. And learning the what, why, when, who, and how has really transformed the way I personally lead.
- Stories: Stories make information stick. Networking with others and hearing how orange has impacted them brings reality to the strategy.
- Relationships: The Orange staff is fantastic. Getting to know them over the years makes the conference experience that much greater. We especially love our Orange Specialist, Abbey Carr.
