We know most days in ministry are perfect. Skies are blue. Volunteers are happy and engaged. Senior leadership literally gives you a pat on the back. And Tuesdays are marked by ice cream sundaes with no calories or fat. It’s awesome to be in ministry!
But there are some days, maybe only a few mind you, where you feel like you don’t have the answers. Like you need a little help. Like Sunday is every other day of the week. And on those days you ask questions such as:
- How can we be better at partnering with parents?
- How can I find volunteers that are in it for the long haul?
- How can we make our Family Experience (FX) more effective?
- How do we prepare our high schoolers for graduation?
- How can I build a better team?
- How can social media help my ministry?
- Should I just ditch it all to become a greeter at Walmart?
Well, we can’t help you with the last one, but we have some pretty good ideas on the others. In fact, we address those questions and many more in this year’s OC15 Breakouts! We spend our year listening to you and those like you to see what questions you have, what issues you face and what’s next in ministry. Then we find the best people to address those topics. When all is said and done, we’ll have over 100 options for you to choose from!
Excited yet? ‘Cause we are!
Well, get ready because BREAKOUTS OPEN AT NOON EASTERN TIME TODAY, so make plans to register as soon as you can. Some Breakouts will fill up quickly, and we want you to have the best chance at registering for your first picks.
And if you want even more learnin’, be sure to add YOULEAD Day, a day for leaders who specialize in a particular life stage! This optional Wednesday morning and afternoon will focus on six gauges that help you do ministry better: strategy, experience, groups, parents, service and personal. The YOULEAD Day sessions are designed to help you learn how to measure success, discover the relational connections you need to create to be successful, understand the critical roles needed to run your ministry, and get equipped with practical tools for leading your ministry.
So, as you can see, we have a lot for you to choose from. We want you to come with questions and get them all answered. And we want to help make those not-so-perfect days in ministry fewer and fewer.
“I had such a great experience with the Breakouts. Every speaker challenged me to think in a new way about ministry. I thought each speaker was encouraging, and I could relate to what they shared. I loved walking away feeling challenged to do more and excited for what God can do through ordinary Jesus followers!”
