<? echo $type; ?> Volunteers Make Orange Conference Happen!

“The heart of a volunteer is not measured in size, but by the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others,” Author Unknown.

The Orange Conference has definitely been blessed with an amazing team of volunteers in the past and 2011 is no different! The depth of their commitment to make a difference in the lives of our attendees is immeasurable. Let me introduce you to a few of these fabulous “hearts:”

Kristie McCollister and Volunteer Todd Newsom at registration, Orange 2010

Name: Todd Newsom
Team at Orange 2011: Registration and Room Greeter
Best Dance Move? The Worm
Fun Fact – Veteran of the first Gulf War
Expertise – Numchuk skills and bow hunting skills

Best Dance Move? She won a twist contest on TV (Atlanta’s version of American Bandstand) when she was in high school! Now when she twists, she gets aches and pains!
Fun Fact – She has been married to her huband Gene for 47 years

Viktor and Michelle Rommedahl

Names: Viktor and Michelle Rommedahl

Best Dance Move? We live in Sweden. Swedes don’t dance.
Fun Fact – They met in Indiana where they knew each other for less than 24 hours. Viktor flew back to Sweden. Michelle went for a visit three months later. They dated for two years internationally (and are very thankful for Skype) and have now been married for almost four years. Ain’t love grand?

The Orange Conference would not be possible without the hearts of our amazing volunteers! If you would like to volunteer and show us some of your best “moves,” check out our volunteer application here.

At Orange Leaders, we influence those who influence the next generation. We do that by creating resources and products that help leaders like you do ministry better.
