The Orange Conference is one of my most favorite times of the year.
More so than the lights, incredible music, and learning — what fuels me are the people who gather there.
I vividly remember my first Orange conference experience as an attender. I left a different leader than when I arrived. God had some things to say to me. And some things He wanted to change in me.
In the Orange Journal that was handed out this year, written within the first few pages was something that made me smile. And I kinda think it’s worth measuring your reaction when you read it too:
JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T
CONSIDER YOURSELF A
IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU ARE NOT LEADING.”
I think the reason why I have such a tender spot in my heart for the leaders who come to learn and be restored to God’s calling is because to a great extent, we all have a little place in our head that doubt’s our ability to lead.
Truth be told, you are leader. Your voice matters.
You may not be in a position to make all the changes that might be necessary, but you are in a position to lead others through that circumstance. You are a leader.
I would like to celebrate the unique leader God has made you to be. So tell me, what makes you a unique leader? Here, I’ll start….I kinda like to think that one of my unique qualities is to help others move into action….. (When I asked my husband what made me a unique leader, he said that I’m coercive, but in a nice way. And I am supposed to respond to that how?? Really, I think he meant persistent… )
So, what makes you a unique leader…
