Well…. it’s going to be a great week!
All of us at Orange are in the home stretch for hosting 4,000 of our closest friends in Atlanta THIS week. There are so many new things going on this year! I thought I would give you just a brief “tip” guide as you make your final preparations. And if you can’t join us this year, skip down to tip #10!
Orange Tip #1: If you have an iPhone, be sure to download our new “Orange Conference” App. You’ll access new information every day for Orange10, speaker bios, nearby restaurants and have the conference schedule at your fingertips.
Orange Tip #2: Guard your conference ID badge carefully. We’ve invested in some new technology this year to make your experience even better. Your badge has some new “powers” this year but sadly does not have a GPS locating device. Seriously, try not to lose it.
Orange Tip #3: It’s not too late to register for the “Meet and Greet” on tonight. If you are a curriculum partner, you should have received an invitation to the Meet & Greet. You’ll meet with your Orange Specialist (formerly known as your PDD) and other reThink staff members. The meet and greet is a fantastic way to kick off the conference — and it’s free!
Orange Tip #4: This goes out to all you Tweet Peeps…… The TWEET UP will be on Wednesday from 10 – 11:30 pm at Chocolate Perks. Of course, there will be free wifi! (Not on Twitter yet? No problem! Go ahead and sign up and be welcomed with open arms!) No registration necessary.
Orange Tip #5: Student Ministry Smack Down….Thursday night. Need I say more? You must register for the Student Ministry Smack Down by April 20th. Email Kristie at kmcollister@rethinkgroup.org.
Orange Tip #6: You’ll definitely want to check out the Orange Leaders Lounge! Rumor has it that the Lounge is the exclusive location for coffee this year! But in addition to caffeine, there will be book signings, internet access, Twitpics and contests throughout the conference. You can also check out OrangeLeaders while you’re there!
Orange Tip #7: Family Experience Showcase! We always have a ton of fun at the showcase….! Thursday, at 7:00 pm. I personally love to watch the stage be transformed in a radically small amount of time.
Orange Tip #8: There will be a Senior Pastor’s gathering at Chocolate Perks on Thursday evening hosted by Carey Nieuwhof and Todd Clark. Hopefully you’ve already registered because this event is full!
Orange Tip #9: You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers. You’ll be able to find a team of Orange Specialists at both store sites. We’ll be ready to answer any of your questions concerning all things Orange.
Orange Tip #10: For all of you who can’t be with us in person, we will have a LiveStream event going on behind the scenes this year! Gather up your team for the Opening Session at 7:15 (eastern) on Wednesday, April 28. But wait! There’s more…. We’re streaming LIVE from backstage from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm on Thursday and then again from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm on Friday! We’re really excited about this added feature for all those who can’t travel to Atlanta this year.
